SHANNON BROWN

Shannon's prodigious talent has been nurtured since the age of seven when he began singing, playing piano and studying musicology at the Wollongong Conservatorium of Music. As a choir member, he sang in the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. He also performed in the Opening of the Paralympic Games and was a featured soloist in the Pacific School Games.

An accomplished musician, with experience in drama and musical theatre, Shannon was selected in 2000 to become a graduating student in the Talent Development Project where his creative talents have been developed and enhanced. Shannon has extensive experience in both studio recording and television and has composed, conducted and produced live recordings of a number film scores for large Symphony Orchestras. More recently, Shannon was selected to be a part of the ABC Television documentary series called The Rising Stars. Co-Producing, composing and arranging tracks for this series enabled Shannon to expand his experience as a composer and musical director.

During 2002 Shannon toured Beijing performing with the Morrison Chinese Big Band. Assisting John Morrison with musical direction helped shape and define Shannon's love for jazz.

Shannon hopes to continue singing, performing and enjoying the musical experience with The Ten Tenors and with audiences around the world.
